A representative from IPFW will be in the guidance office during SRT on February 28th. Please stop by the guidance office to sign up with Mrs. Thallemer to meet with him. Also, the University of Northwesters Ohio will have a table set up during lunch on February 8th so be sure to stop by if interested.

The Fort Wayne Children's Zoo "Z-Team" is a volunteer and leadership program for students 13-17 years of age. The program is an exciting way for students to develop leadership and teamwork skills while exploring the zoo. If you are interested in animals and you're looking for something to do this summer, check out the Z-Team opportunities at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo. Application information can be found at their website at www.kidszoo.org/support/teenvolunteer.htm. Deadline to apply is February 29, 2012.

Current Juniors and Seniors with in interest in Entrepreneurship and Math, Science or Technology should check out the Purdue University Summer Entrepreneurship Academy, June 24-29 in West Lafayette. Stop by the guidance office for more information.

IPFW College of Health and Human Services invites students interested in exploring careers in the health profession to attend their annual Health Career Day. This event will take place on Friday, March 2 at the Walb Student Union from 8:30 -11 45 am. Students should register online at ipfw.edu/health-careers by Friday February 17th.

All Sophomores and Juniors listen up: There will be an informational session about New York University Precollege 2012 of February 7th during SRT. Sign up in the guidance office if you want to learn more about the summer experience of a lifetime where you could live in NYC for six weeks this summer.

The badminton tournament registration packets are now in the bookstore. Only one packet is needed per team of two players. There is a fee of $8.00 between the team. Registration packets are due no later than February 9th.

BPA Members qualifying for state Competition:

Your should be receiving a note from Mr. Waldeck letting you know you need to stop by to see him about going to Indi in March for state Competition. He will have the approximate amount it will cost you for state, he will need your shirt size , and you will need to confirm whether you will be going or not. You will need to see him by the end of the day on Wednesday, or your name will come off the list.

The St. Anne's Episcopal Church Men's Society Scholarship information is now available in the guidance office. Applicants should be in the top 50%of their graduating class, be morally strong, and show financial need.

It only takes one T-shirts now available to students who are not members of SADD. Come by room R239 for the paperwork to discuss a contract with your parents, fill out paperwork, sign and return. The T-shirt is free-compliments of SADD. We only have size large left but get a t-shirt free.

Please meet in R239 after school Thursday, February 2 for an organizational meeting for our SADD goat project. Bring your change for the donation.

Warsaw Robotics will be meeting Monday and Wednesday after school until 4:40 in Y177.

Warsaw Robotics will be selling doughnuts during Thursday morning in the Career Center Area. $1 for 1 and $1.75 for 2.

Math Club meets the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month... so, the next math club meeting is not until February 13th. We will meet in B211 from 3:00-4:00pm. Feel free to bring any valentines day snacks to share.

WCHS will be holding its own line-by-line FASFA help session on Tuesday, February 7th at 7:00pm in the  R142 computer lab. All students applying for financial aid or scholarships for college, are required to complete the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA). If you need assistance with your FAFSA, plan to attend one of these helping opportunities- WCHS on February 7th or College Goal Sunday at Ivy Tech on February 12th.

College Goal Sunday will take place on Sunday February 12th at 2:00pm at Ivy Tech in Warsaw. Thus is a state wide program that provides free professional assistance for students and parents to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid application also referred to as FAFSA. Financial aid professionals from colleges and universities all over the State of Indiana will volunteer their time to help students and families complete the FAFSA. The WCHS Drama Dept. presents an evening of One Act Plays of February 8th at 7pm in the PAC. Tickets are $5. Come and enjoy a fun filled evening of plays directed by your peers and starring students of all ages from WCHS.

Art Club-

If you have been in art club this year and would like to be included in the art club picture, join us on Tues Feb 7th wearing your new art club t-shirt. Bring $5 to day for you shirt if you haven't paid yet. We will also work on the dragon project and eat cookies.
